One night to go on this last minute week away and as to be expected with winter carp fishing it’s not been easy conditions, That said this is our 3 visit and cannot recommend cherry lakes enough , the accommodation,location on the lake and the helpful team that are on hand to help with any of your needs but at the same time leave you in peace to enjoy your break and fishing , From myself and my wife we can’t Thankyou enough and will certainly be returning again Very highly recommended

We had a great time at the Cherry Lakes cottage for the last 4 days. The trip was for my dad's 60th birthday, and he is a big fisherman! He is old school so wouldn't entertain using bait boats even when they were recommended by my husband, online reviews and Simon. However, we still managed a 29lb common and 26lb mirror which were both beautiful fish. I can't leave this review without mentioning Simon - he made us feel at ease and welcome and was always checking in to see if my dad had caught a fish (both fish came out on day 3). He made the effort to know all of our names, including my 2 teenagers who aren't that interested in fishing and spent their time in the hot tub and playing old school games. Simon was very knowledgable and genuinely a nice talkative guy, he showed my husband and I the other lakes and lodges as we are keen to return in a lodge (without our teens :-)) . The surroundings are simply beautiful and it is so relaxing and tranquil. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing places very well kept and has the stock of fish it says it has we had a great time everyone who worked there was very helpful and Simon was really great guy he was very knowledgeable and got us in the right spots to catch. We had 6 fish between myself and father in law. He caught a really nice 41lb and a 8lb probably the one the largest and smallest carp in the lake. I got myself two 29lb carp a 18lb and a nice pike also. Will definitely be returning next year and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a pb carp.

Just back from a long weekend at Egret Lodge - brilliant place, we loved every minute of it. Couldn't fault it. Simon from Cherry Lakes was an absolute gent & made the experience ever better, offering tips on rigs & swims which all worked a treat. We will be back next summer.

Just returned from sharing four great days fishing at Cherry Springs with my son's Oscar and Frankie. We caught a good quantity of quality fish including four carp over 20 lbs, the largest being 28 lbs 3oz Many thanks to Simon and Dave for sharing their knowledge of the lake with us making our stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be going back to break into the 30's

This was my first experience of a fishing lodge as previously I've bivied up by the edge of a lake. I'm slightly worried there is no going back to that as it is so much nicer to have a hot shower, comfortable bed and a full kitchen to work from. In terms of the booking process it was very easy online but if there are any concerns the team at Cherry lakes were very accomodating and happy to answer any questions. Before I arrived I was sent a welcome pack that explained everything I needed to know about access, the lake, fishery rules and the local area which was really good to have ahead of time. I was met by Dave the bailiff you showed me to my cabin (I was in Osprey) and pointed out good spots for fish. Once unloaded you drop your car back to the car park which is very secure and fenced off behind a security gate. The lake is immaculate and the greenery and flowers are very well kept. The accomodation itself was spotless, I decided to use the sofa bed rather than the bedroom because I could see the rods from there and liked having easy access. At midnight on the first night I got a lovely 37lbs common a new pb for me so I was really happy. Great place overall with a friendly professional team.

My wife and I have just spent 4 lovely days at Cherry lakes,Couldn't fault the place. The lodges are spotless and surroundings are Amazing. Dave the bailiff very pleasant and informative. Mike the owner came to see us ,again lovely chap very helpful. Mike is a avid carp angler himself so rightly cares for the great stock of fish in the lakes,so make sure you read and understand all the rules etc. Caught 3 carp to 28lb,and my wife Claire caught some nice roach and perch on the float. Definitely recommend cherry lakes ,we can't wait to return hopefully next year. 10/10

Had a fantastic week staying in the Heron Lodge on Cherry Lake. The lodge was very clean and comfortable, very nicely decorated and well equipped, and the place was so relaxing and peaceful. Mike and Judith together with bailiff Dave are very friendly and we want to thank you all for our wonderful holiday, nothing was too much trouble for them. The weather was beautiful so the fish were not feeding much but still managed to catch 3, biggest was 28lb 4oz, we will be back here again to have a chance at catching a bigger fish. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic week staying in the cottage on Cherry Lake. The fishing was superb with eleven fish caught, five of which were over 30lb, the largest was 37lb. The whole complex is very well maintained and just a lovely peaceful place to be. The Cottage itself is very clean and comfortable, very nicely decorated and well equipped. The owners Mike and Judith together with bailiff Dave are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble as they go out of their way to ensure you have a great holiday. Overall highly recommended for a fishing/family holiday. 👍👍

This was our second visit to Cherry lakes this year and it didn’t disappoint. Judith and Mike are the perfect hosts, very friendly and really do make you feel that you have made new friends, Dave the bailiff is very knowledgeable about the lake and you should listen to what he has to say. We have stayed in Heron lodge, Grebe lodge and the Cottage and all are home from home. The setting is just perfect, the site is secure and really peaceful. We have caught around 15 carp ranging from 19.02 to 35.8. Two of the carp caught this time were 29.14 and 29.10. All we’re in perfect condition and some of the most stunning fish we have ever caught. This is one of the things we love about Cherry Lakes, Mike really does care about the carp, yes it’s a business but the care that Mike puts into the lake and the carp you cannot fault. We have already booked for next year and will definitely be one of Mikes and Judith’s regular visitors. Teri & Lee.
